“I live here too!”

July 22, 2008

“I live here too!” is a charity dedicated to the removal of litter and garbage from the beautiful streets of Winnipeg!

“I live here too!” will take part in community clean ups regarding the bits of debris and litter which finely coat several streets, boulevards, alleyways, sidewalks, and surrounding properties*.

“I live here too!” is committed to raising awareness for proper waste disposal and recycling!

“I live here too!” is the product of Aaron Wiens. A Winnipeg born citizen who even at a young age would go on garbage clean ups with his brother for profitable cans and bottles.

Aaron has since walked the streets of his city casually removing litter that garners it’s boulevards and sidewalks. He has done this while walking with friends and even insisted they help. When asked why he does this Aaron simply replies “I live here too!” and insists that you do as well.

We as citizens should ask ourselves more questions when you seeing and disposing of garbage. Is a bin or receptacle nearby? Can you easily and quickly get to it and throw away your trash?

When appropriate “I live here too!” feels more can be done about the trash on our cities floor. A great deal of the rubbish is recyclables that are disregarded carelessly.

WE have an affect on the environment we live in!
WE are responsible for what happens to our trash within that environment!

And “I live here too!” is currently processing it’s action plan and hopes to launch Spring 09!
